Annie Stevens
A newly commissioned Moderno will provide a studio for Annie's interiors company. It will also accommodate two assistants as well as provide enough room for meeting with clients. The model was selected by her for its cutting edge design, providing a fitting reflection of her own business.
As an interior designer she firmly believes that an interior space should reflect the character of the people occupying it. The decision was taken to move the business from an office building because it was felt that the garden studio would offer a greater opportunity to express creativity and be a reflection of her own ethos.

Essential to the project was the creation of a garden room in keeping with the property's large rear extension. Eventually there are plans for the two to be joined. 'Bridging the garden' is the phrase coined by Annie Stevens to describe this increasing trend in creating liveable areas from dead space in the garden. In this case it meant matching the large sliding aluminium doors to the front of the Moderno with the doors at the rear of the existing house. Additionally the office was clad in customised European Oak cladding which compliments the striking angled metal clad roof fascia of the Moderno model.
As for many of Rooms Outdoor's clients, the design studio will also be a multifunctional addition to the family home. Once business is over for the weekend, the studio will be transformed into a chill zone for two teenage children home from boarding school with a giant plasma screen, computer games and internet access. Generous storage incorporated in the planning of the Moderno will also help the changeover from business to leisure use and creates a feeling of open white space.
Rooms Outdoor has created an addition to the home which successfully combines style needs, with the lifestyle requirements of this modern family.
The garden office built for Annie Stevens is a Moderno 3760 mm x 6000 mm with customised European Oak Cladding and sliding aluminium doors.

As one of the UK’s top interior designers and chairperson of the BIDA (British Interior Designers Association), Annie Stevens is undoubtedly one of Rooms Outdoor’s most discerning clients. A large garden at her London home allowed her the freedom to create a customised garden office with bespoke features. Annie’s work can be seen at www.anniestevens.co.uk
