... windows, doors and locks should be of household quality - anything short of British Standards could hinder contents insurance.
THE TIMES
Windows and Doors
Exceeding current British housing standards, the windows and doors are very high quality with excellent durability.
Manufactured from laminated Scandinavian Redwood, containing a minimum of 60% heartwood. They are pressure-treated and come with an external grade factory finished coating. The 26mm, 2-layered low energy double-glazing has an argon filled gap between panes, increasing the insulation value. Aluminium beads are used at the vulnerable points to ensure a long life. Each of the opening windows is draught-sealed and comes with a perma-vent to allow for ventilation requirements.
The multi-point locking and hinging hardware is concealed within the timber frames. Toughened glass is a further safety feature of the windows and doors. Maintenance-free aluminium windows are available on request
